VIEWS & VIEW PRESERVATION​

One of the special qualities of Rolling Hills lies outside the city limits in the many views and vistas available throughout the City. Driving from the Crest gate to the Eastfield gate one can see views of the coastline, Catalina Island, downtown Los Angeles, San Gabriel Mountains and the Port of Los Angeles.

Both the City and the Association recognize the aesthetic and real value of these views to homeowners, as well as the potential for the views to be diminished or obscured by vegetation.

It is preferable that neighbors work together to restore, preserve, and maintain views. In the event that neighbors cannot reach an agreement privately, the City and Association each have separate View Committees to hep neighbors reach an agreement and solve view problems. Residents should contact the City and/or Association offices for copies of view preservation policies and procedures.
